If you place a wager on whether a train will derail... is that considered off-track betting?

I figured it would be a good idea to start a thread for reporting any trains we see, hear on the radio, etc... for the WSOR. include locations, direction heading, and consist information if possible...
i'll start.

heard the L463 in Madison this morning on the radio. No more information other than that though... also sounds like the Y401 is out and about.

I heard something about the Fox Lake Sub, MP 62, about a half-hour ago. That's somewhat east of Zenda. Didn't catch the rest of the info, though. So I have no idea whether it was a train or MOW.

T6 through Stoughton 8:30 AM 8/2/11. 4030 and 4076 leading. Lots of hoppers, 5 ARMN reefers (!), some TBOXes, other mixed freight.

I was down by the yard this morning too. Chased the T6 out of town as far as I could before work this morning, which turned out to be South Towne Drive. Couldn't pass up a chance to shoot the 4030 for the first time.

Always wanted to try a better lit version of the shot below, and I finally got the chance. Not bad, though one really needs the T5 coming in about this time of day for the best angle. WSOR 4030 and 4076 cross East Washington Avenue, nicely disrupting the morning commute for a number of folks:

Next shot was just south of the belt line:

Last shot was at South Towne Drive:

I like the 30th anniversary unit a little better now that I've seen it in person. I think the 4025 had a little more "character" though with it's silver underframe and different nose striping.

Nice pictures WSOR 3807!

The 30th anniversary unit passed westward through Helena around 7pm today on the PDC route. I would not be surprised to see it headed east Friday evening. It was the second unit in tonight's PDC train.

T6 was about to head into McFarland at about 7:25 a.m. this morning. I saw them across the marshes from the beltline. They said they'd stop at the tank farm and then they'd switch Chase lumber.

I caught the T6 this morning too, on the south side of Madison and in McFarland. 3806 leading the 4010 if I remember right. They didn't stop to switch the tank farm I don't think unless they it did it quite quickly, but they did pick up a gondola off the track by the lumber yard in McFarland. It looked to me like it had been used to bring in a bunch of tie plates that are now stacked by the station sign, but perhaps those were already there.

noah, a few days ago about four more gondolas were parked on that siding. i believe they along with that one that they picked up today dropped all of those off. it should be noted, though, that WSOR 702 and one of those 89' flatcars are now parked on that siding. They were working today and i assume that they will be tomorrow as well. i heard this mornings T6 but woke up too late. anything interesting?

Is 702 still in that siding?

Thanks,
