While biking on the Oak Leaf Trail the other day, I noticed construction work going on where the trail crosses Bluemound Road near 124th St. (Right next to UPS!) It was clear that they were using the existing bridges over the Underwood Creek and making space to put the trail under there too so bicyclists don't have to cross Bluemound anymore. I confirmed that theory with Milwaukee's Bike Coordinator.

The underpass has been open for a few weeks now and it sure is handy. I've updated the trail on Google Maps too.
