Im Sure Robby can get a list of all the J locos for us & he will be a great soruce on the whereabouts.

Here is what I have.
650 is working locals between Markham and Kankakee.
661 was at Markham as of a few days ago, most likely for a inspection.
669 is at Markham, also most likely for a inspection.
670 is working locals out of Dubuque, IA.
672 is waiting for a inspection at Markham.
671 and 673 are in yard and local service at Markham.

654, 656-660, 662-668, as well as 674 and 675 are still on EJ&E rails. The only retirement from the J so far has been yard slug T-2. The SDMs, switchers and the SD18 may have their days numbered as CN is looking to replace them. All of the SDMs and the SD18 switch the hump at Kirk Yard and the switchers are switching Joliet and Kirk. GP38-2 703 is on the locals out of Waukegan. It should be possible to track the EJ&Es that are off the J to get a exact location on them.

Take off the 6500s, those are HLCXs that were returned, and take off 851 and 852, those haven't been seen since maybe 2002 or 2003.

Yep, the 6056 is gone too. Those were returned to HLCX a few weeks before CN took over.

Another update, and it's not a good one. EJ&E SD38 650 was officially stricken from the roster today, it is now listed as retired, so it will not be coming back into service for CN again. 650 was the first EJ&E SD38 and is also now the first EJ&E to be removed from the roster. 650 was spotted in the Homewood deadline two days ago.

The bad news about that photo is that 302, 659 and 665 are are stored, dead and drained. 663 and the imposter are the only units in the photo active.
