From the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
Quote:
Milwaukee Brewers' outfielder Ryan Braun and a handful of other investors are in the process of converting the old Cactus Club in Lake Geneva into the new Ryan Braun's Tavern & Grill. The restaurant will be located at 430 N. Broad St.

Tom Romano, part of the development group, said Saturday that the new restaurant is expected to open in early spring. It will seat as many as 240 people. The decor will be rustic and look like a restaurant one might find in Vail, Colo., he said. "Ryan really likes Lake Geneva," said Romano.

Nothing on ETA for the restaurant... :knockknock:

A new eatery bearing the name of Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun could be open by Memorial Day, about two months later than planned, a spokesman for the group of restaurant investors said.

If I think of it, the next time I am downtown, I'll snap a pic or two of the place...drive past it all the time, never notice it.

Go figure, eh! The life of a L.G. local...blind to the small changes.

Spotted and hastily shot his WATERFRONT - north corner of the Water St. bridge. Three blocks north of Slim's - or two east and 2 south of the Amtrak depot's Plankinton/2nd St. side.

Ryan Braun has parted ways with the Lake Geneva restaurant that until recently bore his name. Ryan Braun’s Tavern & Grill, 430 N. Broad St., Lake Geneva, is now Tuscan Tavern & Grill, according to its website. Tuscan will honor all Ryan Braun Gift Cards, according to their website.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, Braun decided not to renew his contract with the restaurant. The restaurant manager, Rob Gurske, told the State Journal he had no idea why. When contacted by The Business Journal, Gurske referred the call to R&R Developers Inc. in Chicago, the development company of owner Tom Romano.

The Lake Geneva location was not affiliated with the Milwaukee location, other than the baseball star's name.
