The Fuzzy World 3um

Assuming all else goes well, the 3um will be down tomorrow for a period of time. TWP will be delayed a day, for both the new photos and the poll. I'll keep everyone posted as to when the 3um will go down, and return to action, as I know more of a timetable for "the move".

Hopefully DNS propagation will also be speedy...

The 3um will be down at approximately 08:00 on April 30, 2010 for moving to the new server. If all goes well, everything should be in its new space and back up and running as of Saturday, though DNS propagation may be slow. (i.e. the interwebs might still be pointing you to the old location, which will still be shut down.)

Some attachments may be non-functional before moving starts -- there's lots of stuff in there, too much for normal FTP to handle...!

If you can read this -- the 3um is in its new home! I still need to iron out some bugs with the attachments, hopefully that won't prevent me from starting to post photos (and LOTS of 'em!) this afternoon.

Still having problems with the attachments. They still work on the old board, guess I'll try downloading and uploading again!

At least I can mow my lawn tomorrow, I got the lawnmower working.

Bad news: I still can't get the Attachments to work properly.

Good news: Current "Plan B" (probably plan D or E by now...) will empty out the attachment quota.

Does this mean we'll need to resubmit avatars, etc?

If your avatar is working, you're fine; if not, it's probably best to re-upload. My main focus is resurrecting the attachments; the avatars aren't a high priority.

Gotcha. I changed mine anyway cuz it was not working.

Update on attachments: I'm re-attaching all the attachments newer than post 31667, as well as all non-image attachments and all attachments in the double secret sections. Let me know if there are any further issues, there will still be some images that are unavailable for some time to come.

Also -- I found several topics whose attachments were completely non-functional, even on the old server. All were by ericgust, not sure what happened there.
