If you place a wager on whether a train will derail... is that considered off-track betting?

This afternoon, (3/4/2012) I was heading to Mayfair and went under the South end
of Glendale Yard on Capitol, I saw a long string of covered hoppers. I would
guess they are either empties that returning from Chicago? Or another loaded
grainer for Chicago? Anyone have any idea?

Went the same way home, and saw a crew looked like coming home from Muskego.

:type: Doze ain't grainers, Sal. 2-bays are salt or cement. Unit trains pretty well run from end to end - no real revenue sitting midway. That string has been on that track for about 5 days. They're being billed for each dwell day - may be headed to the Buzzi-Unicem (Lonestar logo) plant @ 6th/Canal. Their 2 tracks were pretty full when I passed Sunday & Monday. Think the Cp TRANSFER (job 45) usually makes that run out the spur off track 17.

Generally Saturday is a Mosquito 203x, and Sundays are 249x ??? Often on the M'woky tower its just EXTRA.

3807 teamed with goslings 1504 and 1505 Sunday morn. Heard 4078 sneak into town for a fish fry Friday night.

Thanks Ed, come to think of it they did look a little short, but I was didn't notice how many bays they had. Where do the cement cars comefrom/go to? If they are for/from the terminal on Canal, why aren't they down in Muskego (waiting to go to Canal), or headed for their destination(if not Canal)? I suppose they could be salt loads for Paktech in the old tower site.
