If you place a wager on whether a train will derail... is that considered off-track betting?

Noah, Great shots of the #4030. Haven't been able to get it yet. One of these days.

Interesting on the 702 sighting - a rare catch in these parts it seems.

I didn't see the T6 this morning either - but I heard horns this morning that I believe was the T5 coming into town somewhere around 5:30am.

Photos of Wednesday's edition of the T6 that I previously mentioned:

South side of Madison as the train crosses Nob Hill Road:

East side of McFarland, behind the park to the east of Siggelcow Road:

Finally, after cutting off from the train (in the background) the 3806 and 4010 pull ahead to pick up the gondola in the siding, 132 miles from Chicago Union Station:

T6 passed through McFarland at 7:30 a.m. this morning with 4076, 4009, and 3806. They didn't stop at the tank farm and had a fairly long train. Two high-sided scrap gondolas were connected by a drawbar. The long flat car was still in the siding in McFarland and piles of new tie plates were along the rails. More track materials were along the tracks. Are they planning somewhat of a maintenance blitz when the John Nolen crossing is replaced this weekend?

A little behind, but last night I found the L468, the Cottage Grove job, out working the industries at Burke at about 1715 with the 1506 and 1503 IIRC. They were just finishing and headed back to Junction A, where they left their scrap loads on the Waterloo main, tied onto one UP Reefer and 3 or 4 covered hoppers and headed down the Cottage Grove line. Spotted the reefer at an industry just south of Cottage Grove road, and took the hoppers out to Cottage Grove. First time I'd managed to catch a train on the line. Interesting little branch line operation.

Love this pics, Noah. I'm still trying my best to catch some WSOR action myself whenever I'm in the area. The scanner freqs you gave me definitely will help too!

This morning I caught WSOR 4030 heading west light across Vilas Hope Road at 8 a.m. purely by chance. Could this be L468 at the end of their shift? Or Y401?

:photo: Y202 of the 25th had Mexi-phoenix 3811 east, Mustardini 1501 sammiched, and :bandito: gosling 1502 west to lead back to Goose HQ in a northerly fashion.

And Soo 4416 and 4449 brought in 31 ballast loads from the Waterloo pit.

What we need here is some red and gray paint.

I do love those Mexi-wrecks!

Anyone seen the HK/L595 lately? I used to be able to catch them in early/mid-afternoon and haven't heard them in a while.

They had 3813 today as their SB unit. Heard them get a warrant for the Markesan Sub about 12:55, & then for Horicon about 17:15.

All kinds of red and gray on 3811. What more do you want?

L595 has been getting in early lately. No trucks shipping now helps quite a bit.

Thanks guys...looks like it'll take a day off for me now to catch 'em. Do they ever run north on Saturday?
