If you place a wager on whether a train will derail... is that considered off-track betting?

City of Waukesha’s Engineering Dept: Maple Av. at the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad crossing will close beginning Tuesday July 5 so WSOR can reconstruct and realign the crossing between Williams St. and Central Av. Completion expected by Friday July 8.

Interesting - that's the west edge of La Estación - the depot restaurant. Last time that area got any significant work was the summer following the wheel break on WSOR 4025 - which tore up the just-rebuilt Grand Av. RxR and led to the demise of the Waukesha CN yard. Hafta look for curent alignment in photos take then. Did they move any of the passenger cars? Alignment was based on the passing siding from at least 4 decades of NO PASSENGER service.
When did CNW quit running passenger service to Mad-town thru Waukesha? IIRC - they replaced about 40% of the ties at that point.

This crossing is getting rebuilt.

Used to be 3 tracks wide here, one serving Fox Head Brewing to the south (right). Passenger cars should be staying put. West of there the track wiggles a bit. This shot looking the other way shows the wiggle better.

Does the project include removing the "jog" in the tracks?

Alright, smartass, go back and re-read the first paragraph below:

It says, "realign the CROSSING", it does not say "realign the TRACKAGE". I's ain't no college gra-dew-it but there is a difference between those two sentences. "Crossing", at least to me, indicates where a road, you know, crosses the tracks.

Anger? Nah...just throwing it back at Ed since he's the one who started it.

I'm just ending it.
