If you place a wager on whether a train will derail... is that considered off-track betting?

Model Railroading is fun but it ain't easy. It's my first real layout and I've got a lot of learning to do. All in all, my skills are growing. I finally posted some pics on my flikr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/63167988@N00/

Matt,

Looks like you're off to a great start.

How does that Clevel models bldg look? I've read about those cardboard kits, and am especially wondering about the texture on them?

I remember the RMC cardboard cut out bldgs when I ws a kid. I'm sure the Clever models are better.

I agree - a real nice start, Matt! I like what you did to that Life-Like Supermarket - it looks good.

Looking good!!

I like that building you titled "Chicago Blandness." That remade front REALLY captures the feel of so many Chicago buildings.

THat kit looks like one half of Concor/Heljan 2 small retail stores. That kit came out in the 1970s, and was based on buldings in Spring Green WI.

Looks like you have a solid beginning there. Can you give some specs - size of layout, era, area, etc?
